I’m MiKalla, the heart and camera behind MiKalla Fertig Photo based in Warm Springs, Georgia.  Through lifestyle and documentary photography, I intentionally document families as they grow, celebrate, and simply live out the beautiful, day-to-day lives God has given them.

Hey there,

From assisting my photographer mom, studying Photojournalism, and launching a business, I’ve been documenting stories for well over a decade. This array of experience and education has set a full foundation for my technical skills, but a keen eye for detail and emotion is my biggest asset. My approach looks like gently guiding you with genuine conversation, while stepping back to capture your authentic interactions. The real and raw, subtle and in-between moments are my specialty.

I pick up a camera first and foremost because of my Creator. Life with Jesus is not without hardship but it is full of HOPE, and because of Him, I seek to worship and serve through this gift and passion He has so evidently instilled in me. It is not lost on me that it is truly a treasure to be able to do something I love AND stay home as a mother and homemaker. When you entrust me with your precious family moments, I am able to provide and be present for mine.

With the empathy, sentiment, and attention to detail the Lord has graciously woven into me, I approach each session with deep purpose. I genuinely care about your story and telling it as true to life as possible. Your story matters, and I’m honored to document it with honesty and heart.
